A link to Benazir Bhutto's book Entitled "Reconciliation: Islam, Democracy, and the West" is given under the text. Sections of this book were used in class to help teach about who Bhutto was and her ideals. A clear description as to how Islam and democracy are compatible is given in Bhutto's words, as well as her reasoning behind wanting to establish this type of government in Pakistan. Bhutto saw injustice in Pakistan and sought to create change by spreading her ideals about the benefits of establishing a democracy. She knew a democratic government would function in giving the rights and justice she felt the Islamic people of Pakistan deserved.
